Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need prior coaching or teaching experience?

No. Many of our participants come in as parents first, no professional background required. What matters most is that you’ve done meaningful personal work and you’re ready to guide others through it.

Is this a therapy certification?

No. The Peace and Parenting Coaching Certification is a coaching and educational credential. It does not authorize you to practice therapy or provide clinical mental health services.

Are there any payment plans available?

Yes. Payment plan options are available and will be outlined when our team reaches out after you apply. If cost is a concern, don't let it stop you from applying! A conversation is always the right first step.

What happens if I miss a session?

Recordings of each session are available to all participants. That said, to receive your certification, you are required to attend a minimum of 10 out of 12 live sessions. If you miss more than 2, you’ll need to complete an Individual Recovery Session (at an additional cost) with Michelle before your final oral exam.

How much time should I expect to commit each week?

Plan for one 60-to-75 minute live session per week, plus time to complete the weekly quiz and review the materials before each session. The program is designed for busy people, but it does require your presence.

When does the next cohort begin?

Submit your application and our team will reach out with all timing details, program investment, and next steps. There is no obligation when you apply.

What is the final oral exam like?

At the end of the 12 weeks, you’ll meet 1:1 with Michelle for your oral assessment. It’s a conversation, not an interrogation. Michelle wants you to pass. The exam exists to confirm that you’re ready to hold this work with confidence.

Is the certification recognized outside of Peace & Parenting?

This is a proprietary certification within the Peace and Parenting methodology. It is not a licensed clinical credential. It is, however, a meaningful professional designation within the connected parenting space.

When is the next cohort starting?

We're expecting to start the next cohort around May 20th, 2026 (or a week or two later). However, if you have a specific date you feel would be ideal for you, please let us know!

Michelle's journey

Fifteen years ago, I was a parent who yelled. Not occasionally, regularly. Loudly enough to scare my three-year-old into compliance. I was doing the thing I swore I’d never do because it had been done to me.

I’m not proud of that. But I am proud of what came next.

I found the tools. I did the work. And slowly, not overnight, not perfectly, I changed. And when I did, everything changed. My relationship with my daughters. My relationship with myself.

I started sharing what I’d learned. First with friends. Then, with thousands of parents who were standing exactly where I had stood. What I know now, after fifteen years, is this: “The parents who find this work don’t stumble onto it by accident. They find it because they’re ready.”

If you’re reading this, you’re probably one of them.

This certification program exists because the world needs more people who can take what they’ve learned in their own homes and carry it into someone else’s. I built it for the parent who is ready to go further, not just for themselves, but for others.

I’d love to do this work with you.
